In the dawn light, members of the Royal Southern Yacht Club warm-up while waiting for the Island Sailing Club to play their annual cricket match on the Bramble Bank in the centre of The Solent. The teams from Hamble, Hampshire and Cowes, Isle of Wight play their eccentric competition in the middle of the busy shipping lane in a tradition dating back to the 1950's. The teams take it in turns to win in alternate years. This year the ISC won and hosted breakfast following the game which commenced at 06:30am.
