“Tutu Cute! Former Principal of The Royal Ballet & Strictly Judge, Dame Darcey Bussell stopped by her former ballet school in Richmond Park today, to meet adorable six-month-old guide dog puppy in training Darcey. The Labrador/golden retriever puppy was named in her honour by students at White Lodge who had fundraised to name the adorable pup as part of Guide Dogs Name a Puppy Scheme.
Dame Darcey Bussell said: “To know that puppy Darcey, who has my name, is hopefully going to go on to be a little life-changer for someone with sight loss is just overwhelming. It really is a wonderful achievement and I’m so honoured that this adorable puppy was named after me.”
