Stained glass windows in the Great Hall at Eltham Palace that inspired the commissioning of two diamond-encrusted Cartier brooches by Stephen Courtauld for his wife Virginia. The brooches, depicting a falcon and a white Tudor rose, once owned by the millionaires, have now been acquired by English Heritage. The items will go on display for the first time at the palace from Saturday 30 November.
