Thomas Ruyant and Adrien Hardy (right) aboard the french IMOCA 60 yacht Le Souffle Du Nord at the start of the 90th anniversary Rolex Fastnet Race on the Solent. A record fleet of 370 yachts will compete to win the Fastnet Challenge Cup.
The 600 nautical mile race starts in Cowes, Isle of Wight, heading to the Fastnet Rock off the south west coast of Ireland and finishes in Plymouth.
It is the world's biggest offshore race with 75% amateur sailors and professional yachtsmen competing against each other.
